SynthScaper is a synthesizer specifically designed for creating and experimenting with ambient soundscapes. It offers a wide range of possibilities, ranging from noises to melodic instruments and everything in between.

What sets the sound engine of SynthScaper apart is its unique sound, which differentiates it from any other software synthesizers available. With its multi-layered oscillators, chains of filters and effects, envelope generators, and low frequency oscillators, you have the power to construct outstanding melodic pads or atonal soundscapes using built-in or downloaded samples. Alternatively, you can combine oscillator presets from the built-in library to create your own unique sound scenes. Predefined scenes are also available for immediate use.

The flexibility of each module's settings allows for the creation of unique and colorful sounds using both traditional instruments and natural samples. Automated changes and spatial effects further enhance the endless variations that can be achieved. Additionally, the different ways of assigning screen and MIDI keyboards to the oscillators provide advanced features for sound control. The on-screen keyboard is also adapted to create special effects and vary the continuous textures and drones.

The Designer tool utilizes a neural network to generate new presets based on existing ones by adding random variations while ensuring that the new preset remains similar to the selected pattern.

Key features include three independent oscillators with three layers each, six voices per layer, six envelope generators, six low frequency oscillators, arpeggiator/sequencer for each oscillator, a designer tool for generating scenes and presets, general processing controls for level, balance, LPF, HPF for each layer, slots for filters and effects after each oscillator (with 20 additional selectable options), a spatial mixer with two different sound spaces, a screen keyboard adapted for continuous textures and soundscapes, predefined keyboard scales and custom scales, full screen, double and split features for the screen keyboard, options for pitch, continuous, modify, velocity on the screen keyboard, support for two virtual and two MIDI keyboards simultaneously, flexible assigning of keyboards and controls to the oscillators, two main effects controls that combine several parameters, options for uploading samples through Dropbox, Web access, and clipboard, auto and manual tuning of samples with a frequency analyzer, a library of predefined scenes and presets, the ability to pack and share scenes and samples as a single file, support for loop points and note info in WAV files, a detailed application description (both built-in and in PDF format), compatibility with Inter-App audio (including transport and BPM controls), support for Audiobus 3 with "State Saving" and MIDI features, and support for Ableton Link with start/stop sync.
